Retromobile is one of Europe's most prestigious classic car show and attracts over 120,000 visitors from around the World every year. It provides a magnificent back drop for one of Bonham's favorite classic car auction, as well. There are cars that you hardly ever see, even in the top Concours shows here in the states. It was June 26, 1959 when I was riding in my uncle's Volvo very much like this one, listening to the radio broadcasting the title fight where Ingemar Johansson knocked out Floyd Patterson in the 3rd round at Yankee Stadium for the World Championship.

(Not incidentally, Floyd Patterson was the youngest to become champion (at 21 yrs) in history at the time and went on to become the first to lose and regain the title when he beat Johansson in a rematch a year later! He was one of the all time best!)
