When I was an early teen, I met Walt Seeley, the first professional auto restorer I had yet met, and he significantly altered my life. He had a very large machine shop, and out front he sold exotic and rare cars, many were antiques already in 1960. I sat in a 1936 Auburn Boat-tail and drove a Model T for the first time because he allowed… |

Please correct me if the above headline is wrong!
"Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!" There were many strange things in 1984's Ghost Busters, and there may be some strange ones here in Georgia. A new Roush Mustang wins Best in Show at a Mustang Show, against many fabulous cars that were lovingly rejuvenated by…

Weather is tricky for any outdoor gathering, but March is particularly fickle. I arrived to set up at the Caffeine & Octane gathering in Alpharetta, GA on March 6, 2011 a little early because I thought I might need time to set up in the drizzle rain. Of course the lot was empty but the drizzle had now strengthened and the breeze was more like a gusty wind. The weatherman had said it would be light and even would stop by 8am. It was still dark, so we had some time to let it…

I just got word that Atlanta Imported Parts over in Decatur has closed the doors. Most of you in the Atlanta area know it was the mecca of LBC parts & pieces. This is going to leave a large void in the used LBC parts market. The only recourse now if your restoring an LBC or trying to keep one on the road seems to be aquiring a parts car. If someone knows of another LBC salvage yard around I'm sure everyone else would like to know. Some of the stuff isn't repopped so a used item…

A Bite of History – by Mike Thies
The 1948 Ford F-1 Pickup
The 1948 Ford F-1 wasn’t just a new truck, it was the start of something big. When Ford introduced it, they launched the very first F-Series, the truck line that would become America’s favorite for generations. This was the first Ford pickup built on a dedicated truck chassis rather than a car-based frame,…

The “Car Guy’s Garage”
Step inside a place like this and you can almost hear the echoes of every wrench turned and every engine fired back to life. The light hums off the old signs, Route 66, Coca-Cola, Phillips 66, and the smell is that unmistakable mix of oil, leather, and stories. This isn’t just a garage. It’s a…
