Caffeine & Octane - In like a lion, out like a lamb!

Weather is tricky for any outdoor gathering, but March is particularly fickle.  I arrived to set up at the Caffeine & Octane gathering in Alpharetta, GA on March 6, 2011 a little early because I thought I might need time to set up in the drizzle rain. Of course the lot was empty but the drizzle had now strengthened and the breeze was more like a gusty wind. The weatherman had said it would be light and even would stop by 8am.  It was still dark, so we had some time to let it…

Another One I Wish I Could Have Kept! The Ones That Got Away!

I found this picture in JayLenosGarage.com (a great website for "car guys") and it just might be my car I drove in 1966! Another One I Wish I Had Kept! The Ones That Got Away!

I’ll start with the worst trade I ever made involving a car. I guess you had to be there because it seemed to make sense at the time. I had a car that wouldn’t sell and I needed an expensive computer for my job. I found a fellow that would trade and he was all too willing. The computer is long gone and the car is in a collector’s garage [not mine ;-( ]…
